Welcome to The Village Providore
At The Village Providore, food is more than something to eat — it’s family, memory, and happiness.
Our story began in Nan’s country kitchen, where the stove was always on and something sweet was cooling on the bench. Nan and Mum taught us to cook the old-fashioned way: stir patiently, taste carefully, and respect every ingredient. When Dad became chief confectionery maker, our kitchen turned into a place where flavour, love, and tradition came together.
In 2017, our journey led us to Sydney’s historic Rocks Markets, where we found our home. There, we dedicated ourselves entirely to handmade fudge and artisan nougat — cutting generous samples, sharing stories, and filling gift boxes with flavours inspired by both heritage and imagination.
With 21 flavours of each, our range moves from comforting classics like Caramel Honeycomb and Milo & Malteser to bright Australian bush flavours like Desert Lime, Rosella, and Lemon Myrtle. Each batch is made in small quantities, by hand, with care and patience — just as Nan would have wanted.

You’ll find us every Saturday and Sunday (10am–5pm) at The Rocks Markets on George Street. Stop by for a taste — we offer generous samples of all our fudge and nougat, and we’ll help you discover the flavours that feel like home.
